Professional theatrical performers Keith Berger & David Prather dramatize the realities of bullying in a way that is both funny and informative. This original and extremely creative show is more than a fine arts program; it’s a relevant anti-bullying assembly.
“At times you could hear a pin drop…at other times they were laughing hysterically or trying out cool anti-bullying techniques right from their seats.”
~Amy Ellison, teacher, San Bernardino Unified School District
- The Bully Dudes assemblies are designed to inform kids by dramatizing examples of bullying through humor and excitement rather than through analytical lectures and buzz- words.
- This program deals with verbal or psychological bullying, playground bullying, girl bullying, reporting a bully, and what to do if the bully is your friend.
- This assembly serves as a great “kick off” to other more extensive anti bullying or “character” programs. Because The Bully Dudes uses very little jargon or buzz words. It does not interfere with the strategies posited by programs like “Character Counts”, and “Safe Playgrounds”.
- We have found through feedback from parents and teachers that The Bully dudes has had a very positive effect on the students awareness and behavior.
- No one element will stop bullying all by itself. It takes follow up by teachers and parents. The school as a whole must take a stand and make bullying a thing we are all watching out for together.
