| Student Music Video Project |
|
| Shows That Teach works with schools to produce an all-original music video related to conservation, starring the students! With the help of sponsors including water, power, or sanitation agencies, and local municipalities, the goal of this project is to educate families on relevant environmental topics.
In addition to integrating music educational standards, this audio-visual student project can be distributed on the Web and throughout local communities.

STEPS
- We
coordinate with the school or sponsoring utility agency to select a
theme for an original song
- We
visit the school for our first one-hour workshop. Together with
students and teachers, Shows That Teach composes an original song for
the music video
- In
our second, one-hour workshop, we bring the audio and film studio to
the students. We professionally record the students singing, and tape
the class performing a fun, wholesome and simple music video.
- Shows
That Teach edits the audio and video, and the polished version is
posted on our Web site as well as YouTube.
STUDENT BENEFITS
- It integrates with science, language,
art and music educational standards for schools
- It promotes responsibility towards the environment
- It is a fun and artistically
rewarding experience
