Becoming a Shows That Teach school assembly performer

Please contact us to become an STT performer if all the following apply:

  • You are an exceptional performer with several years of experience (especially for elementary school aged children).
  • You have an original show that has an important and appropriate educational message for all or a portion of grades K-6.
  • Your show is very engaging.
  • Students do indeed actually learn something valuable and are impacted as a result of your assembly program.

To consider new performers and presenters we do the following:

  • Check your background, references and experience.
  • Watch the entire length of a video you supply to us. It does not have to be professionally edited.

The following are the services we supply to each of our performers:

  • We advertise and promote your program(s) in several ways at no charge to you.
  • Your program(s) will have a presence on the Shows That Teach website with a video clip, photos, etc.
  • We handle all the paperwork, invoices, sales, etc. with our clients.
  • We collect the payments from the school or venue promptly, so that you will be promptly paid.
  • We follow-up with our customers to get objective performance feedback and forward the responses to you.
  • In an ongoing effort to maintain our high standards and good reputation, at no extra charge we will occasionally offer consulting to you on matters of program content, performance suggestions, and marketing.

Our basic policies:

  • We do not expect you to be exclusive with our agency in all locations.
  • You must carry liability insurance. We can refer you and an agency if you wish.
  • We charge and deduct an agency fee of 20% from the fee you choose to have us charge the customer (but only 15% for any counties for which you are exclusive with Shows That Teach).
  • You may charge any fee you wish, however we promise our customers that we offer the same low price (or lower) that you offer the same type of venue for the same show no matter who they book through.
  • We offer and expect good communication and honesty with our performers.
  • We expect outstanding performances. Each performance reflects on Shows That teach and thus reflects on each other performer.  You want the others on the roster to be the best, and they want the same from you.

If you are interested in being considered for our roster please contact the company president:
